Whit Larson started working in radio when she was in Middle School in Globe, Arizona. She continued in broadcasting into college, but then life intervened.

After marrying her best friend in 1988 and having her first child in 1990, she focused on her favorite thing - family! When her husband, John, started working at BYU, Whit decided to take advantage of free schooling and took every class she could dealing with web design. She started a Primary website in 1998, and rarely updates it (although she has really good intentions!).

She has been involved in Primary since 1997, and currently serves as the Stake Primary President in Logan, Utah. She loves all children, but she particularly loves the two who call her "Mom;" Rob, 16 and Katie, 12.

She served a two-year church service mission at the Family History Center in Logan, Utah and developed a genealogy system that someday she will turn into a book. Family history is a love that developed as a small child watching and learning from her Mother and Grandmother.

Whit loves her family, the gospel, reading, chocolate and cleaning her house. This doesn't mean that her house is clean all of the time - only that when she has time she really likes to clean it. She makes her own cleaners for windows, appliances, carpets and so forth so perhaps her real love is chemistry and not housework. Whit also loves games of any type and playing them with her family. Currently they play a lot of Carcassone and Killer Bunnies. She loses more than she wins and that's okay with her. She blogs (mostly about knitting) and had a knitting podcast before she started the Mormon Mom-Cast. She's a hobbyist who does many things so-so and few things very well. She agrees with Robert Heinlein, who said, "specialization is for insects."

She really, really hopes you enjoy the show!
